The Vineyard Chalet is the perfect place for your next getaway! In addition to a fully equipped kitchen, the main floor has a full bath and bedroom. Upstairs you will find 2 large bedrooms and a half bath. One bedroom offers a deck with a spectacular view of Christian Klay Winery across the street. There is another deck off the sitting area upstairs which overlooks the woods, fire pit and patio below. The living room boasts a wood stove, a fold out sofa, TV w/DVD player and high speed wireless internet is also available for your enjoyment! The private patio is a wonderful place for a family picnic or nighttime star gazing. You might even catch sight of a deer feeding at the edge of our large grassy lawn.. Picnic table, chairs, grill and fire pit are provided. This is a very comfortable vacation home with sleeping for up to 6 people.

Ohiopyle State Park which is located just 10 minutes away offers Hiking, Biking, Rock Climbing, Whitewater rafting and kayaking. Other nearby attractions include Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Nemacolin Woodlands Golf and Ski Resort and many historic sites. Visit The Historic Stone House Restaurant for the finest foods, best drinks, great service, and live music! Take out and breakfast menu is also available. The location was fabulous! Close to everything, yet quite and serene. The house was perfect size wise and very comfortable.

We were disappointed that it wasn't cleaned and maintained well, and that the television did not work because there was no cable/dish service. We didn't have any DVD's with us, so it was useless. The dryer failed to work, and we had to clear the outside vent to fix it. Also, there was no firewood on site as promised.

My sister and her husband and my husband and I enjoyed our trip very much. The house is old, there were cobwebs in the corners, and the laundry room smelled of sour wet clothes. There is a nice flat screen tv upstairs but no service and you have to bring your own dvds. We wouldn't have cared if the description hadn't said there was a tv. We all like to watch the news before we go to bed. That being said the home was well supplied with dishes, pots & pans and towels and the beds were comfortable.

We had a group of 3 couples on our long weekend. It was a great and relaxing time! Everything was just as it was advertised had a great stay.

This property offered us everything we could have enjoyed and more while we visited Ohiopyle state park. The winery across the street is surreal, it was great!

The fire pit and grill were nice and well-stocked with wood and gas, but the grill was a small fold-up tailgating grill and it was very dirty. We cleaned the grill itself, but the top was so filthy that we didn't feel comfortable pulling it down since most of the filth would heat up and run on to our food, this made it pretty hard for the grill to heat up. we ended up finishing up the cooking inside in the broiler.
The outside doors and windows were covered in cobwebs and dirt, they could've used a good cleaning.
We also met a very bold mouse who had no problem coming out and hanging out with us while all the lights were on. I suppose we were his house guests, glad that he didn't mind we were sharing his space.
The house only has one shower for 3 bedrooms, it would've been nice to have one more.
The location is stellar - directly across the street from a winery, and just a few minutes from Ohiopyle. The house backs up to woods, and is located on a quiet country road, it was very peaceful with beautiful frog songs at night.
Very comfortable seating arrangement in the family room, it was easy to cook, talk and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with great cookware, utensils, and sharp knives - very unlike most rental homes.

The owners were very helpful and courteous and the property was all it said it would be in the pictures. We loved it and would definitely recommend. Would recommend bringing your own drinking water. We found several things under the beds from previous guests and it didn't appear that the floors or windows had been cleaned. Overall a very good experience though.

I recently stayed at the Vineyard Chalet for a weekend with five other individuals. This property served our needs perfectly. During the day we drove to nearby Ohiopyle - 10 minutes away - to participate in the numerous outdoor activities offered there. In the evenings we wanted to relax with good food and drink, play games, and sit around a fire and talk. This is exactly what the Vineyard Chalet provided. It was most certainly clean and had enough space for six adults to comfortably sleep. Though there are only three beds, there are numerous sofas and adequate out-of-way space for individuals not wanting to share a bed. The kitchen is well stocked with dish and glass ware as well as a variety of other cooking apparatus (though lacking a baking pan and a dish sponge - we used a dish cloth instead). The Vineyard Chalet's water supply is well water, and there was substantial iron in the water. I would not go so far as to say it's problematic, but I would recommend perhaps bringing a Brita Filter (which would, I imagine, assuage the metallic taste).

Overall, I highly recommend this property. For individuals wanting relaxation (I say again ... the porches and the fire pit are critically enjoyable) and don't mind a short drive to Ohiopyle, this is a fantastic place. Additionally, the owners / operators of Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals were consistently courteous, clear, and helpful. I would without a doubt rent one of their properties in the future should the need arise.
